Completion of "PROMAK" coffee project in Kenya

The PROMAK coffee project was completed in November 2023. The aim of the project was to empower women, youth, coffee farmer's cooperatives and individual coffee farmers by training them on proper farm management skills, facilitate the certification of cooperatives and capacity build them on business information and opportunities in the coffee sector hence improving the productivity and marketability of their coffee. Through the project up to 48,000 individual farmers (exceeding the expected 40,000) and 48 farmer cooperatives were trained and certified. This will ensure their coffee fetch premium prices. The project was implemented by ASSIST in partnership with Kenyacof Limited and co-financed by KfW / DEG - German Investment and Development Company Limited.
